What a wonderful look into Ducky after his abduction. I really enjoyed this - it's superb. And you made excellent use of the lyrics.

I felt Ducky's pain and worry and the last line in particular was so very, very moving.

I guess I have to kill someone more often to make it up to him later, because I feel guilty. Mrs. Mallard is such a great character and funny to write, but somehow ... this story turned out in a totally different way than planned. But I guess it's also working in this way. And after thinking about the song a whole night it finally made more sense so I could use it. Plus, I wanted to write about someone else. Not about Jenny again. And "The Meat Puzzle" is such a great episode (I liked it even better than "Broken Bird"). I had to use it :)

I never plan stories beyond the really, really broad idea - but even that can go totally off on a different tangent. I love how turned out, I really did. It's always good to branch out and write outside of the main character/pairing. 'The Meat Puzzle' is my second favourite episode, topped just by 'Lt. Jane Doe'. It is a superb episode to use.

Right, "Lt. Jane Doe" was the third Ducky-centric episode. I couldn't remember earlier. And it was even better then Meat Puzzle.
Maybe I will find some prompt to use this episode, too. Ducky is fun. I've no idea why I never tried to feature him in a story before. Weird ...

Wonderful! Poor Ducky, still feeling shaken after this episode, but I loved the ideas that his mother's dimentia is making him feel better.
