It works! It works really well. And no it's not too silly at all.

Great fun in fact. Poor Cynthia, I can imagine how she felt. And her interaction with Gibbs is perfect - on both sides.

And great little twist at the end.

Really good.

As an unrelated aside, I do like how you also use 'the director' of 'her boss' etc. I've just finished my Tom Morrow drabble from Gibbs's POV and that too is 'his boss', 'Director Morrow'. It wouldn't feel right for Gibbs to 'use' just 'Morrow'. End of aside

Edit: A minor thing, but my brain seems focused on the tiny, in two places you have word count 500, but on NCIS Drabble you have 300. Not that it really matters, but . . .

Oh, you finished the TM drabble? That's great! I use these terms like they use it on the show. Shepard (or Morrow - or Jenny or Tom) wouldn't sound right said by anyone. And they always refer to the directors as 'director xy', don't they? I like that and I try to use it, too ;)

I think it was the elevator scene I had in mind when I wrote this (plus the whole twin discussion we had this morning on twitter) *g* I have no other explanation for this drabble ;)
I'm glad you liked it and it worked. Yes, I don't know if I feel sorry for Cynthia or for Jethro - or for both ... In the first version she even dropped his coffee, but I had to delete this, because it was too long.

Hm, I deleted that part :( Maybe I can recall it and work it into a drabble. I will see what I can do. But I don't think that I will write that baby!fic. It just isn't my thing, you know. Smut was something new and different, but the baby!fic ... I don't think I will. I won't feel right. But you should write it (or we will do it together on twitter *g*)

I really wondered if I'd stepped into the Twilight (no pun intended) zone when Jenny didn't aknowledge Cynthia...I mean busy-overbooked Jenny would never ignore Cynthia... I never suspected what was wrong until I read about her twin and... imagining distressed Gibbbs having to cope with 2 Sheppard redheads... that was totally rotfl!
