I had to turn it back to make sure it wasn't Gwaine himself that threw him in the cells. Since we didn't see their faces, though, Gwaine could have thrown a fit and it just didn't show him throwing a fit. That's my head canon and I'm sticking with it.
yeah honestly Gwaine wouldn't have had any of that. he knows Merlin too well. and Mordred knows all about Emerys and the prophecy so i expected him to be a little more involved as well. i don't think he wants Arthur dead just yet!
The lack of attention to character continuity on this show continues to bewilder me. There have been so many times when characters that should have had a strong reaction to an event have had a complete non-reaction. Like when Gwen got slut-shamed out of Camelot for a kiss and her own damned brother didn't insist on going with her. WHAT? This is not hard, writers! Have them behave like people actually would

see i don't think it was a spell on Gwen. i honestly think that Morgana messed with her mind so much that she sort of broke and this is the result. granted...i think there could have been a darker way to do it(a bunch of people laughing at her?? how was that scary?) but i think that's what happened. this doesn't seem like when she was under the spell with Lancelot.
poor Sam, always getting the short end of the stick on these shows :( i have to give it to him tho, at least he's still alive on GoT...that's a feat in itself lol
See, it had to be a spell. We see Gwen swearing she'll have nothing to do with Morgana all shaky and weird, then the next time we see her, she seems pretty collected when Elian comes into the floating sword room. I'd expected her to be cowering and thinking he wasn't really there. But she seemed pretty cool. Plus for her to suddenly hate Merlin, too, was too much a turnaround

idk i think i'm going to believe that Gwen just sort of broke. i think that was Morgana's whole idea in the first place. so she wouldn't have to enchant her again. and i don't see them doing a reset because i'm pretty sure this is the last season.
Gwen in the legends betrayed Arthur with Lancelot and since that's done and over with, i'm assuming this is how the "betrayal" is going to play out.
as much as i love Katie i don't think she would have been able to pull off Morgana's descent into villainy anyway. acting isn't exactly her strong point, especially when her character is supposed to be "angry/evil" i'm just cringing all over the place.
i thought Isolde was also a really great character i was so sad to see her go :( and speaking of her, whatever happened to Tristan?? he should be a knight by now! they just sort of forgot about him!
