A whole lot of users are unhappy with the change, both lj news and releases are being flooded with angry comments. I'm all for pretty but not when it affects functionality (and tbh, it's not even that pretty now). The comment pages have been loading slower, plus no subject lines and no preview (that is the worst for me, I used the preview option a lot) just...ugh. I just wish LJ would stop messing up - twitter, tumblr or FB are not appealing to me at all and I don't want to be forced to move to another site or see other people go.

Sorry about the car :(

It is soooo not pretty in my book. D: But yes! The functionality is part of the issue there. I hate the lack of preview and subject lines. I get that most people don't use them, but when we do use them, it's significant enough to warrant them staying.

I like LJ better than all those other sites, it's why I'm here. So why do they keep trying to morph into them? Competition. Blegh. Makes it easy to understand why there is a push to go to DW where the people running the place really understand what the users want.

Yes. :( It'll be okay!

I've been using subject lines only from time to time but they were pretty neat for memes and of course all those charity auctions.

Well, at least they are trying to address some other issues and they might eventually bring the preview button back...

I do have a DW account (I think it's been a little over a year since I created it) but I don't use it at all and keep it as a last resort. I've only ever had a paid account on LJ for 2 months (a gift) and tbh the only reason I'd like to have it are the extra icon spaces (I have a very well working ad-blocker and now everyone can edit comments; other paid features aren't convincing me). I don't view it on a mobile device so the only reason I myself could complain is the missing preview button, but I will probably get used to it. But I do get the frustration of paying members and those who depended on subject lines a lot. Sigh.

EVERYTHING LOOKS TERRIBLE. ;a; I've never used custom comment pages before because I had been happy with the default, but it feels like going custom is the only option now. :( Not that it's a bad thing, but still~

But whaaat. I'm really sorry to hear about your car. D:

I KNOW. ;____; I mean, I use custom for my personal journal, but for other things it was nice to have the default. I even hate the layout of the journal entry itself with the giant ugly journal title and everything so massively left-aligned and taking up the whole page. :(

YES ALSO SAD. D: But it'll be okay! Thank you.

HI YOU. ♥
