I went to Otakon last year too to meet up with an LJ friend for lunch. I never go to the convention itself because I have no real knowledge of anime or anything, but it is fun to eat sushi and just watch people walk around all dressed up. :D

The last anime con I went to had dozens of fat Narutos and Pikachus. And a lot of guys in maid/cat outfits >.> Also, loving the green in your basement! I'd totally live there, and it doesn't look like a typical basement at all :)

OH! We did see plenty of Narutos and Pikachus. Only... one was a cute little kid and another was a sexy female Pikachu that kind of blew my mind.
