I'm not buying boots this year because I got some last year and I think it would be inappropriate to buy more. Also, I still love last year's boots. I got them in a sale at Hobbs. Black patent. Shiny.

i have black patent shoes and whenever i wear them i remember that thing about how patent shoes are slutty because boys can see your knickers reflected in them. yeah.

It's true, there are some horrible boots out there. And sometimes I think that the trends towards ugly ugly boots make it impossible for those of us with good taste in shoes to find nice boots.

i think the trend for ugly ugly everything makes it difficult for those of us with good taste to find anything. lets not even speak of handbags/ purses. i honestly despair of the handbag design industry.

I haven't had any boots for years as I can never find any that zip up over my apparently unacceptably fat (even though I am a size 10!) calves. Boots = hopeless.

i had this problem for a while. apparently people who are a size 5 foot all have calves that are the same diameter. how does that work? they should do boots for ladies with small calves, medium calves and larger calves. OH MY GOD IM A GENIUS.
