They say that a Jew becomes a Zionist when he can no longer live as a Jew. I believe this. One of the main reasons I want to return home to Israel, is because I am sick of being a pariah, and being in the minority. I want to be a man again, I want my dignity back.

I am impressed with your observation. It is the Jews in the Galut that is to blame. What I meant to criticize is the RIGHT WING Jews both in Israel and in the Galut who blame Sharon, call him a nazi, (may their memory be eradicated) those who threaten his life.

I don't necessarily BLAME sharon for this situation. the palestinians are what causing this, but sharon spitting on democracy and doesn't even agree to a people's poll (i'm not sure that's the right translation but i mean Mish'al Am) so people have no say over what the gov't is doing. and i understand that some people want this pull out but i don't think that it's what the majority wants (or needs but that's besides the point) and you no one can tell me otherwise because Sharon is not allowing the govermental poll. that's my main problem with Sharon. the whole Galut thing i agree. i too don't understand why Jews don't live in Israel. and i still don't understand what about the Right Wing doesn't suit your fancy. The Right wing is pissed off because someone who is SUPPOSEDLY representing their main party is not doing what the people want. he's doing what he wants and what the left wing wants. obviously the right wing is pissed. The left wing wouldn't be happy if it was happening to them either.

Sharon was elected, (his name was a top of the list for the leading vote getting party), therefore it was a democratic move. If the people were to vote on each issue, then there would be no need for a government at all. Each representative in the Knesset was voted to represent their constituency, and even know, that in Israel everyone believes they can do the job, whatever the job is, better than the person who is doing it, there are not enough chairs to fit every Israeli in the Knesset. No nation could properly function, if all of the jobniks would take time off of their jobs everyday to consider every issue that comes infront of the Knesset and then to vote on it
