i like the primitive look too. Thanks for all of these tutorials. I'll have to refer back when I get myself into a creative zone again.

i am hoping it will help someone. i am making these prints because i am NOT in the creative zone, and it gives me something to focus on. it's hard to get started... but one i start... look out! =>

Do you have any suggestions on where to find large sheets of mylar.
so far I've gotten away with taping together mylar that I've cut off of
Binders that have the clear sleeve on the cover.

hmmm... well usually art supply stores will have some. i got mine at a university bookstore. i have also purchased it from another art supply store. i would just call around in your area. i'm sure you can order it online somewhere. i would suggest looking at dickblick.com. that is where i usually buy supplies when i need them. they may call it acetate.

I love the results you get, the noise just adds that certain casual, free feeling that suits the designes. I will have a go at that myself one day.
