As for the molotoving v. ring of fire, yes it's a molotov to the face/whatever but it's not CONTAINING the angel. Angel gets pushed away by it. I mean, basically it's like the ring is a ring of electrons holding an electron captive (pretend these cannot move past nodes/only 2D thanks). They can't get past it, whereas they get REPELLED (and possibly hurt) by being hit by some/another electron. IDK, my brain can make some sense of that.
The sprinklers aren't likely to put the fire out (which was what was implied), but it would make the holy oil fire expand all over, possibly to the point of breaking the circle of fire, which would free Gabriel. But you know they weren't thinking about it that clearly.
The electron analogy makes complete sense to me. I just thought they said at one point on the show that if an angel were to touch the holy fire, or, like, fly over the top of it, he'd be destroyed, completely and utterly. Of course, it's definitely all right to shove Meg into it and use her as a bridge.
They show in the episode the fire being put out by the sprinklers. It looked like when you turn off a gas fireplace (which, I mean, it was, but still). Really, Gabriel should have been an actual hot mess after that stunt, but it's Supernatural; it's kind of in the title of the show that science be damned.
I think it's probably something OVER emphasized. And like, ... there are limitations and such forth to it and all. But stronger angels/angels themselves who are obviously protecting a lot of secrets about themselves aren't going to be like, "Let me explain the intricacies of how effective this is against me..." And the Meg bridge amused me. And it does make sense as a plot.
Yeah, I haven't rewatched that recently. :/ Eh, idk. And yeah, I don't expect them to follow science. SCIENCE-Y shows don't follow science.
Ah, remember the days when they didn't even know what a demon trap was? I liked when the demons got wise about the salt and were like, 'lol, lemme blow a hole in dis shit'.
Meg's at her best when she's serving as a bridge.
I just rewatched it the other night, and that's what got me thinking on it.
OK, I would be laughing louder If I had not seen the dead puma ;___; but other than than... NO, NIC, DON'T DATE HIM. I know that you are very tempted to sleep with someone who is more of an Enemy than a friend so you can kill him after sex but DON'T DO IT.
