Borgification has begun. I have a Continuous Glucose Monitor in my side for the next few days so they can figure out what my insulin dosages really should be.
I'm already annoyed by the tape.

I want one of these, although I'm pretty sure no one should have one.

Saw the endocrinologist today. She's pretty sure at this point I'll be on insulin for the rest of my life, although tests are pending. A lot of tests. The blood draws consisted of 2 regular vials, 4 more regular vials that had some goop at the bottom of them, and then 2 smaller vials. Last night when I went to leave work, my car didn't start.
Today, my car has a new battery and is full of starting love.
The end.

I've been in meetings and had numerous conversations in the hallways and so forth today
and no one has mentioned the Spongebob band-aid I'm sporting below my knee.

So I snagged Ben for a conversation this morning.

Me: Do you know what day it is today?
Ben: Um....
Me: It's mama's birthday!
Ben: Oh yeah!
Me: Do you want to wish her a happy birthday?
Ben: Yeah!
Me: Okay, she's over there, go tell her.
Ben (running into the next room): Mama, you're going to have a party!

Much more importantly, I can watch me some HD olympics, I can record 4 shows at once, and that annoying delay during a channel change is *gone*.
