Oh yeah I almost forgot. We bought gas at $1.94/gallon on our way out of DFW Sunday night. All those commercials about the rising price of gas can bite me.
"$7 won't buy two lattes, or two gallons of gas"
Yeah, it'll buy 3 and half.

Racetrack in Burleson. I think at Alsbury but I don't recall exactly. I want to say Exit 38, then turn right at the stoplight and it's about 1 block off the highway there. I do remember that we then turned around and went north for less than an exit to get nextdoor to the Outback to eat dinner.

I'm sad. At $5/gallon, we're throwing a party and it looked like the party was gonna happen soon! :(

I think it's extremely tied to the rest of the economy - prices are through the floor right now because everyone believes demand will be down (and it is) as the economy slows down and there's less usage all around. OPEC is working on cuts but it hasn't been nearly enough to counter the drop in demand and the prices kept falling. It will be interesting to see if OPEC agrees to lower production even further, and how that will affect pricing as the economy gears up again.
I would think $3.50 range would be pretty reasonable in the near future at least though. Time to fill the bathtubs up with gas to stock up! :)
