There was a post in dark_christian that really got my attention. We hear so much from many faiths, be they Christian, Muslim, Hindu, etc. about the concept of forgiveness. I just have to say that the above sounds to me like a more accurate representation of Jesus's teachings then alot of things I've recently heard of being done in Christ's name. I'm just saying.

I saw parts of that referred to in various news sources. I think part of what might have made it easier for them than if the circumstances had been different is that it's pretty obvious the guy was out-of-his-gourd crazy.
