Parenting Styles

So I don't usually say anything to other parents about their parenting style. I believe its part of being a parent that you get to decide what works best for your family. And I realize that my way is not the current parenting way. We were at a playdate today for MaireAine, and there was another mom there who had a 14 month old. He was not the best

That's awesome! At least you spoke your mind instead of thinking it silently and possibly judging your friend for how poorly behaved her children were.

That is a little ridiculous. What the hell are you supposed to say to a child with a wad of dollar bills in his mouth? Especially something as dirty as money

Maybe, they're hoping for grandchildren in 13 years?

Or, maybe, they're hoping the kid will wind up in prison, soon?

Or, maybe, they're hoping the kid will go running away from them into traffic?

Or, maybe, they're idiots? Limits are a fact of life. Might as well learn that early.
