Is it OCD to check Dell.com every day for order status?

I'm missing my regular computer hookup. Still trying to at least vaguely keep up with things via borrowed computer time, but I can't just sit and read. But my DVR is cleaner than it's been since I bought it. *g*

I can't believe you're only checking status once a day. That's incredibly restrained of you!

And Primeval! I saw that news earlier today. Aw, my crappy show is coming back. Bless.

I'm only restrained because I often have limited computer access. ;)

I don't know what to think about Primeval. Will they keep going with "What lameass creature can we show this week?" and ignore the time bending conspiracy stuff? Or will they actually find a plotline and stick with it?

Ugh. I'm not sure if that makes me happy or not. By the end of the third season, I wanted kill off everyone except Lester and Becker. I don't suppose they'd consider the Lester and Becker show?!! *g*

My vote is for Abby and Connor to get out of the tree and go through an anomaly that takes them back to Cutter's original timeline of season one, or a new one altogether. Scrap all the idiotic stuff and start over if they can convince the actors for certain "dead" characters to return.

And for god's sake, get someone to determine if they're going to do something with the "future" plot or not and follow through with continuity in general. Cheesy creatures will only get them so far.

Oh! Now THAT? I would watch. It would be really cool (except for how I'm sure the writers would screw it up) to see them dealing with yet another fundamental change due to the anomalies.

With Helen dead (if they bring in an alt!Helen, and not an alt!Nick or alt!Stephen, I will be pissed), I wonder what the heck will happen with the future storyline?

I'm not usually pro-reboot, but I think the show needs it. The reboot between season one and two seems to have been mostly about getting super cool stuff like the ARC, with some Cutter angst, but they didn't do much beyond that.

I really don't want to see any form of Helen again. The writers would be too tempted to go with the over-the-top villainess routine again.

I'd much rather end up in a world where Helen's still dead (and I yelled "Good boy!" at the dino when that happened), but the characters have fewer cases of The Stupid.

I'm still not quite sure where they're going with the "new and improved" House

My guess is he'll only be 'new & improved' for a while before going back to the old & cranky (maybe a little less self-destructive, tho. There's only so many times you can dance on the edge of disaster before falling in)

On the plus side--he's back living with Wilson and saving his balls. That's always a good thing.

I lost count of how many ball jokes they had in the episode, but I adore how Wilson gets frustrated with House, but mostly just rolls with it.

I'm kind of bothered by the subtext of "get laid, get a hobby, then you don't need painkillers". I suffer from chronic pain, and while I do think House needs to deal with his emotional issues, that's not going to magically make his damaged leg not hurt.

Wilson does frustration so well ;-)

...while I do think House needs to deal with his emotional issues, that's not going to magically make his damaged leg not hurt.

I was literally dumbfounded when House said he was on ibuprofen. IBUPROFEN??? That's like taking candy to someone with chronic pain. Yes, House does repress his emotional pain into physical pain and dealing with his issues will *help* his pain, but hello--huge chunk of thigh missing as well.

I've been paying more attention to how the show treats the subject of chronic pain since I came to the realization that's the overall definition of what I'm dealing with. It was even when I first started watching the show, but there's almost a taboo against the idea, because it's assumed you're just looking to pop some pills. Take some pills and get better, but then just stop taking those pills or you'll be a drug addict. What do you mean, you'll start hurting again? That's just silly, you took pills and got better!

House is an addict, but not necessarily to Vicodin. He needs it to deal with pain, but as pain increases, so does tolerance to Vicodin. More and more does less and less. They did cover that issue early on, but I think TPTB and/or the network got scared by the idea of an "addict" being the hero of the show.

They had to show the bad parts of taking drugs, even though it's a necessary one, and then forgot House has a huge chunk of his leg missing and actually needs some painkillers. Maybe something different than Vicodin, ( ... )

The Primeval news certainly elicits mixed feelings.

Me too. I was kind of relieved when it ended, actually! I'd lost all my favorite characters except Lester, and the show seemed to be crashing and burning.

I hear you. I'm voting for going through an anomaly to another timeline for a reboot.

Perhaps an alternate timeline in which certain characters are not killed off and are instead shagging each other senseless on a regular basis? I'm not terribly picky on which characters back from the dead are involved in the shagging. ;)

After last night's ep, I think it's pretty much confirmed that the writing staff is full of slashers. :)
