I've had one person pick up stuff in the three hours the library has been open, and only a couple of phone calls today. I'm technically working on reports and the like, but it's so quiet, it's maddening. So I've got a small window open on my screen watching a DVD of Star Wars: Clone Wars .

Kinda. We're not open to the public, but reserves can still be placed and picked up. At least for now. Two counties away there's a shelter in place order. We're just at closing restaurants, bars, gyms, etc.

Not really. We're answering phones and handing reserves out the door. No one else can come in. It's boring as hell. At least if I was home, I could take a nap.

I'm lucky/unlucky that I'm in an industry that doesn't stop for anything, in fact increases in volume in end times like this. Yay?

We're at five people in office; I'm only staying because new person in my position - I just can't see leaving the poor thing alone. The job is confusing enough to learn with others to ask questions of, but if she were all alone? Useless.

Our emergency services will remaining running, but we're pretty sure the county will put us on lock down soon. Me sitting here answering phones isn't essential, and I can forward the phone to my cell phone if I have to. If we're locked down, people shouldn't be out picking up stuff at the library anyway.

Now to convince the mayor that we get paid even if we don't come in for a full day. He's trying to say that we can still come in some to work, but I think the County officials will kill that idea.
