The Brain

I watched a series called "The Brain with David Eagleman" on PBS recently. Lots of it was literally over my head but some of it I could grasp. There's a whole playlist of clips on YouTube, but there are two clips in particular that stood out for me.

Could they have filmed it before Botox was approved for use in migraines? Therefore, maybe he wasn't allowed to mention it's use for that?

It's a 2015 documentary, and Botox for migraines was FDA approved in 2010, if memory serves. I'm sure it wasn't mentioned because it didn't relate to his experiment, but it seemed odd to not say anything since the use is related to hotwiring the body to stop the brain from going into overload mode.

Like Sherlock Holmes, many experts have surprising gaps in their knowledge where it doesn't apply directly to what they do. It's more surprising no one involved in making the documentary picked it up, though ( ... )
