My internet connection has been up and down (mostly the latter) for nearly a week now, so I'm going to catch up a bit by rambling about Agents of SHIELD primarily, but with mentions of MCU movies too. Ooh interesting on how often Jemma seems to be on the 'bad guys' side!

I totally ship Fitz/Mack and Jemma/Bobbi too :) (They'd make a decent ot4 tbh)

I really, really want Captain America to walk in right when someone's talking about how special powered people need to be put down. Won't happen, but I want it.

Bahrain and Budapest have stories that need to be told. I think we'll hear about Bahrain before Budapest though, because the former was a planned reference and I don't think the latter was intended to pique so much interest ( ... )

I think you're right on who does/doesn't know about Fury being alive. I'm really pissy about nuSHIELD and their "ooo, secrets are bad," while meanwhile they were the ones who planted moles and came after Coulson from left field. All while Coulson et al were actually taking out Hydra leaders, etc. I especially hate their claim that they're the "real" SHIELD when there is absolutely nothing that makes them that. It is a semantic trick to make them feel okay about what they're doing. A smackdown from Fury is very much needed ( ... )

ETA: ITA that Civil War will be different from the comics version, and I also hope it won't be Steve vs. Tony. Powers havers vs. powers haters is a good bet, though. What I'm really curious about in movies is that Clark Gregg isn't credited for Age of Ultron, although Fury is in it. What has Clint been doing since the fall of SHIELD? Are he and Natasha (Coulson's agents), and the rest of the Avengers (Coulson's recruits) ever going to find out he's alive? I wants it! And not 90 seconds of post credits Easter egg. >:-(

We're only a few weeks from Age of Ultron opening (and it will be earlier in the UK), and there's still some murmuring about characters who have not been revealed. Some take that to mean a mid- or post-credit bit to reveal someone new that will feature in a future movie and also become an Avenger, such as Captain Marvel.

It's possible they might have Coulson have some sort of appearance in AoU, or at least have someone mention him. Maybe Tony makes another crack about Fury's lies having lies, such as how he kept the fact that Phil was alive away from them for months. If they don't deal with that, there's a weird separation between the MCU and the TV series that doesn't make sense.

Maria Hill and Lady Sif both know and are in the movies. They can keep a secret with the best of them, but I can't see why it would need to be a secret anymore. Besides, Coulson sent out a message to agents after the fall of SHIELD trying to get them to safety and part of his team. That can't be missed by everyone on the team, right ( ... )

I imagine Coulson will be mentioned, but I don't know if it will be in an important enough way to satisfy me. He was in all the previous movies, and so central to Avengers, dammit! And I ♥ Clark Gregg so much.

I agree that it was Pierce/HYDRA, but he did try to make it look like Fury (and Steve) was a traitor, so maybe the survivors are getting their facts mixed up? And that's me being generous. Because as of the flashback to the Fall, they were following Fury's orders to 'save SHIELD', so what changed?

what has nuSHIELD been doing all this time except sitting around on a carrier and spying on CoulsonYes, THIS! I have asked this myself (and had Coulson ask it in my fic *g*). If they were doing ~anything, Talbot would have gotten wind of it. Or Coulson's team would've gotten wind of it ( ... )

I don't think Gonzales' people have facts at all about what really happened during the fall, just bits and pieces that are enough to convince them they're in the right ( ... )
