David Hewlett Movie Marathon: Haunter

When I first put Haunter in my Netflix queue, I didn't even realize David Hewlett was in it and that it would pick up my "marathon" of Hewlett movies. This one has been on my radar for awhile as I stumbled on an article about it on a horror film website. (I was clicking through links from something else). Given that Abigail Breslin is in it you would think it would be a bit more visible. I'm not into the gory films but the descriptions made it sound more about atmosphere and it has the added bonus of Hewlett so I have it on my notepad list of films to go find again.

I cannot stand gory films, and Natali often goes there, such as his early film, Cube, which I liked but the gore made me close my eyes a few time.

Hewlett's only in it about five minutes or so, but it's always fun seeing him.

Yeah I liked cube a lot but I too was shutting my eyes more than once.

5 min is better than nothing -- I love 'star' surfing which is what I call watching movies no matter how bad (MegaSnake, piñata Island) just because an actor I like is in it (MS, Nick Brendon). I still have Flanigan's Ferocious planet on the tivo.

My viewing of so many terrible movies are generally preceded by the words, "An actor I like is in it."

oooh. Thanks for the heads up. I try to check Netflix regularly for new movies by actors I like but haven't seen this one yet so I've added it. :)

I wish Netflix had a "saved search" feature. Or even alert you by email when a movie with a particular actor or director is available.
