I was so sad that Studio Ghibli's Howls Moving Castle did NOT win an oscar last night. It tees me off to no end. However, yesterday I purchased Whisperer of the Heart and really enjoyed it. It was really well done and so incrediably detailed. I always love watching Ghibli films because I feel like I could just jump into the story and any given time ( Read more... )

It was awesome seeing that he got one of his movies on there as deserved, but I was pretty sure he didn't win since it isn't exactly the sort of movie everyone would like... there was the classic film with old fans, the new okay film with young and teen fans (Which I thought was going to win just because of that), and then the cartoon for the young or those that take liking to Japanese movies. Thankfully he got that much notice though. (:

You're going to force me to send you the DVD to show you how awesome it is ... aren't you? Sadly, the theatrical release here in the states was nonexistant but it was a great movie for all ages and my Mom loved it and she despises cartoons let alone anime.

Yes! I'm living with Co-workers and Guild-buddies. Family ... not so much ... Colton ... too far for him. He would never see me because of the gas. :P

I enjoyed it a lot! They had classis Nintendo Arcade games there! <3

Ahaha, of course I a--NO! Not until I send my two-moth-late-and-counting birthday packet to you. I saw the commercials, and I wanted to see it, but I just have to wait for another Miyazaki (Er..) film fest on channle 62 or so. (:

That...swirl...it looks...like some sort of swirl of the mind...almost like a mindswirl!

I'm not sure though..you shouldn't tease us like that any more than I should kick small kittens...

kittens......i flipped off a box of kittens when someone wouldn't tell me something....and then i punched a baby in the arm, but in my defense the baby was being a dick

The patterning on that swirl makes me think of the coloring in Gankutsuou, but I doubt you've seen that... :O
