I've been reading about synesthesia -- a condition where somebody's senses are cross-wired, where one sensory input triggers another involuntarily. Haha, I have sound-to-sight and sight-to-sight synaesthesia, which makes listening to music pretty cool in ways that I did not realize were unique to me (and other people with it).

It's debatable how rare synaesthesia actually is, since it's supposedly pretty underreported as a result of everybody thinking they're normal.
