My vocabulary - Lingvo -translates "синица" as "titmouse" or "tomtit" or "blue tit"; it also gives синица as translation of "tit" and "tomtit"; it translates "blue tit" as another bird - лазоревка. So I decided to stop these ornithological research :) and changed "bluetit" to "tomtit" in my translation. Why do you think "slake" is not correct translation? I found the expression "slake your thirst" (утолить жажду) both in Lingvo and in Merriam-Webster.

Also, slake is not quite the correct translation. Possibly slack.
