It's really hard to stay introverted around Jamal--and with the job you've had in the SCA for the past four years.
I test very close to the center on I/E--I have Xed out on that category, although I've never come up I. Usually I peg the scale on N and F--I might wish I was an S, but I don't test that way. I'm very close to the center on P/J, and in that case I really do wish I was more of a J, but I'm just not.

Got the 98% percentile. Plenty of words I'd never seen before.

I hate these things! corvus_imbrifer October 26 2005, 19:25:54 UTC
I was presented with a Myers/Briggs (Jung is spinning in his grave, in the opinion of some, he did not approve of his archtypes to be used in the current fashion, might as well be astrology. And Jung /did/ investigate astrology) test at a job interview. I asked the HR monkey to present her Ph.D. in psychology or clinical research. Blank stare. I pointed out she could ask to draw blood, too, but I wasn't going to roll up my sleeve till I was sure she was a licensed and trained professional. So why would I allow her to administer a test designed for use in therapy?

I never found out about that job. The guy I would have worked for dropped dead of a heart attack (at 46) the next week.

MEANWHILE:

Got a request for a lace jabot and matching cuffs. The only patterns I can find are the dainty little 50s things that might as well be bow ties. Want the full-frontal Victorian cascade with sparkly things. Any ideas?

Jung investigated everything, bless him. He gave up on the I Ching when it got to where he'd know how the coins would come up before he threw them. There's a whole school of Tarot study based on his work; naturally, it's the one I subscribe to. Don't blame you for refusing the test, though. The lot of us are just playing with this stuff.
Jabots not much the fashion at the moment. McCall's has a Victorian tie that results in a four-level ruffle: M4550. Butterick's got the clip-on equivalent: B3894. There's also a good folding cascade on a woman's blouse: B4658. Don't be afraid to just make things wider and longer. Did any of the last patterns work out for you?

I'm not at all surprised at your results!

I took a "What General are You?" test recently. I scored as "Edward Longshanks." (Now that did surprise me!)

Very much enjoyed seeing the Bowers mummies with you the other day! I'd still like to write a story with you about them. We could make it kinda Halloweeny/Christmasy, in keeping with the season! You know, mummies break out of the museum on October 31st, and eventually end up at the Cortez Beach Christmas boat parade.

That's a funny idea. Everything else is on hold for NaNoWriMo, but let's talk in December.

If you're doing NanoWrimo, I'm going to do it too! (I had been thinking about it.)

We'll talk again in December.
