It's similarly unlikely that anyone would notice a rather short young man step through the portal.
However, it's rather hard to miss the blasts of power that turn several acres of forest into splinters. Or perhaps the blasts of power would be fairly unnoticeable, since they're fairly controlled compared to certain past displays. The flocks of terrified birds probably aren't easily missed, though they might be a bit smaller than they should be. Anything unfortunate enough to be in the blast zone was shredded, after all.
