If I could think of something intelligent to say to this, I would, but damn.

I didn't know you were working on a sci-fi novel before, but now I want to read it. o_o I love the bits of setting and culture you've created there. I love how the sister was angry, not just sobby, I love how the emotions came through so clearly, and I love how Grend responded. It just all felt really real, which I think is important especially when you're writing something like this.

Ouch. Very much ouch, and very real. I know this is part of the larger narrative, but I do like the way it works here - just enough information to anchor the conflict, and a strong narrator's voice.

It's really excellent, thoguht when i read the first part, with the confrontaion I kept thinking of Genma getting yelled at by his sister.

It's a lovely thing though, can't wait till you've completed it.
