But, oh, I had one of those moments that made it all worthwhile... the studying and meetings and paperwork and all that fucking crap that goes along with paid ministry. I checked on the kids watching movies part way through the meeting, and the teenage boy who was there - hell on wheels when I had him in youth group, disruptive as all get out in confirmation class... kept me downstairs asking question after question after question... listening to my answers and asking more questions. Missed the rest of the AGM talking with him and the other 2 teens that were there, with an old Curious George video playing in the background for the little ones.
Thank you God, for a reminder of why I do this.
