Dear God woman. You've ripped out my heart with your evocative writing that draws me into the back room, the taste of tea in my mouth, and cigarette smoke curling in the air... so that I'm surprised to look up and find myself in this room, piano and dog, books and lego.

I've been thinking a lot this week about expectations and love and support.. and you write it out in such a beautiful way.

Thank you so much! It means a lot to me to hear that this story had such a strong evocative effect on you. I found the story a bit draining to write, actually, with the high level of emotion involved. I wasn't sure if my point was coming across, so I really apreciate the feedback. (Plus as a writer I am fueled by praise.)
