It's a good thing I bought the suit.

I arrived in Nashville Friday a week ago, when Mom was moved to the Alive Hospice Ward at St. Thomas Hospital. It's very comfortable there. She has a large private room with wooden floors, attractive wingback visitor chairs, artwork from home, and a view of the tree-covered hills to the northwest. The staff ( Read more... )

Cancer took my mother a few years ago. She decided not to tell us kids to save our feelings. I would have given anything to be there for her when she passed away.

I'd say stick it out and be there. If you ever need to to take please feel free to contact me.

I keeping thinking about you and your mom and holding you in white light. Listen to your heart. Being there for your mom's journey is likely more important than having Thanksgiving here.
I am proud of you that you and your mom have none of those issues between you that have been left unsaid. I wish I could say that with certain of my parents. Its huge that you have gotten to that place.
Enjoy the time your mom and let yourself grieve when the feelings show up.
