snagging the mix, but i have to correct you on one point. the Deepwater rig is off of Louisiana's coast. it's the marshes of LA that are full of oil. it's our beaches that the booms are washing up on. the oil hasn't gone any further east than the Florida panhandle. we're finding tar balls in Lake Pontchartrain. Mississippi and Alabama are also having significant problems with oil. Florida is largely unaffected by this spill at this time.

I referenced Florida mostly because it shows how far the spill reaches now from when it started, but yes, all those states need help too.
