I haven't seen past ep 2.08 yet, so I don't know about Balinor, but your piece makes me rally curious! It sounds like he's where Merlin inherited his magic, and also quite sad, because we know Merlin didn't know his father, despite the man's hope that he gets to know his son, expressed here in your drabble. Can't wait to find out the story!
