My brother's keeper

Jack moves slowly along the halls of the Lounge. His steps are even and he hums as he goes, taking deep pulls from the rum bottle in his hand between off key verses. The way he grins, you'd think he was in a fine mood, aside from how he looks a bit mad. This isn't entirely uncommon, though ( Read more... )

Sheldon was doing what he usually does when he's home alone. Cleaning. He's wearing a wife beater and some torn jeans. Both black. He's wearing one of Jack's bandannas on his head to keep his hair out of the way. It might have been a poor choice. His dog tags jiggle on the way to the door and he opens it, glad to have this particular visitor. Lonely means no Pearl.
He leans against the door jam as he takes bright yellow rubber gloves off and shoots them across the room.

"The cabin boy run off with your ship? Come on, Pig Pen. Lets get you a drink."

He shakes the bottle in his hand to slosh the rum as his other hand reaches to run fingers across the fabric of the bandanna.
"Brought my own drink. I'll take another. ... Good look for you."

Jack presses his way passed, rubbing against Sheldon as he goes, and gives a wary look around the apartment. Murdoc --one of them-- could be lurking about.
"Given your collection, I wager you could do up the full show for a fancy dress party, eh? You and your lovely wife... Is he about?"

Sands stays still when his head is touched. It is Jack. Very few people can get away with that but Jack is definitely one of them. He took this bandanna off Pearl's alt. It was given as a gift from the other Jack.
And while he certainly appreciates the rubbing it does remind him of what he told Murdoc. No more sex with Jacky.
"I do like to drink too much then stumble around in pirate clothes and a shitty accent before jerking off. Put some makeup on.. pretty myself up. Muds isn't here. Just us."

He thinks Jack is asking because he wants to spent time together without friends. Otherwise why would he detach himself from Pearl?
"He's working. gotta bring home the bacon."
The agent heads to the kitchen to pour some more rum for them and hopefully catch up.

It's good to know they're alone. This was almost too easy, really. It's upsetting. Still, Jack chooses to see it as proof he's doing what's right for him. The path's been left clear for him to get away with it.
His eyes are dark and empty as he speaks, but he keeps his voice as normal and cheery as he's able.
"Ah, you do love me, Shel. Leaving vast, sticky stains on the inside of my trousers, just at the thought..."

Jack sets his own dwindling rum down and follows Sheldon to the kitchen. He leans against his double's back while liquor is poured and kisses the man's neck.
"I'm troubled, Selkie. You were right...I need Pearl back as she was. This romantic life looks good on you, mate, but I'm ill suited to it."
He sighs and kisses Sheldon's neck again before standing upright again and taking most of his weight off of his twin.
"Pity your beau isn't here, love."
The pistol slips easy and quiet from his belt to be raised to the back of Sheldon's skull. The hammer is clicked back.
"He'd likely save you."

Left alone in his room, naked on the floor, bound at the wrists and robbed of his most prized possessions; Jack screams. He pulls at the belt around his wrists and begins to work the skin raw. Jack also looks around for something th grease his hands over with so he can slip free, but there's so little he can get to.

He dislocates his shoulder and pulls his arms over his head to be bound in front of him, then slams his shoulder back into place against the floor. Jack picks up the pistol, slides back against the wall, and keeps the gun on the door. He's more vulnerable than he may have ever been and he isn't going to be attacked. In a safe position, he's able to start working the belt free with his teeth. He'll be free soon. Then he can start drinking.

Half an hour after Pearl leaves Bastiaan comes home with some food and more rum as instructed. He's singing a popular Danish rock song but stops short when he gets a hold of Jack, naked and holding a gun on him.
This is not what he expected to come home to. At all.

It's good he brought rum. They are now nearly out as Jack lowers the bottle from his lips.
"You! Where are your loyalties?! Speak up!"

He may not even be aware of his nudity, the way he speaks.

"I... what?"
Jack is loud and drunk. Bastiaan didn't understand a word of the pivotal second sentence. He wishes he did because it looks as if Jack might shoot him. He clings to the bag against his chest as if it was a shield.

Murdoc is more than a little surprised by the knock at his door. Sands doesn't knock anymore and no one else bothers him. It would just be stupid. He doesn't even pull on pants before answering. Just stands there in his boxers.

"I think you've gotten lost. It happens. You live that way." He points down the hall. "Follow the stink of fish and booze."

Pearl sighs as Jack starts to scream from inside their room.
"I can't go home... what are you wearing?"

"Slightly more than nothing. What the hell are you wearing?"
She looks like a bad pirate centerfold the way Jack's clothes hang off of her.

"I don't need any part of your kinky captain-on-ship lover's quarrels, ok?"

"Jack's clothing. I'd rather not be in a dress where I'm going."

Murdoc is an asshole. She's perfectly used to this. But Pearl likes him so she's not quiet getting it. Also she needs his fucking PINpoint.
"Right then. What about captain-on-selkie? Jack is fighting with your husband as well."
