Excellent story! Rose and Al were so cute, and I really enjoyed their interactions with Luna, Uncle George, and Oliver. Excellent premise and characterizations! :D

This was a lovely story~
A lovely insight into stories we never knew in the books. And I think your quote at the very end really summed it up - that just because it wasn't someone famous who lived it doesn't mean that it isn't important. A very special story~
I love your characterisation of the characters, Rose and Al especially, with Rose's thirst for knowledge and Al's sneaking around. And the slight jab at Harry's ignorance of what happened! >_<
Well done! It was a joy to read! :D

What a brilliant bit of writing! I love stories that fill in what happened "behind the scenes" during the war, and having Rose and Al be the ones uncovering these untold stories was just perfect. I love all your characters here, the way you've woven the other Next Gen children in, and Oliver Wood's role as an unsung hero was so excellent. The tone of the story is light-hearted, and yet you've given it this excellent undertone of depth and serious and even a bit of sadness. I really, really loved this; thank you!

Thank you! I'd hoped it could be both light-hearted and serious - after all, you can have a wonderful and happy Christmas party and take part in a serious discussion while you attend, and I wanted that to be the feeling here. They're happy and safe, even as they talk about serious and sad memories.

That last paragraph killed me. Because, this. So much. Remembering what happened is important on itself, but realizing that there weren't only those fighting at the sharp end, doing the big things, but also those that were never even mentioned is just as important.

And as for the whole story, their interactions with all of the characters and their different reactions are awesome, and so are Rose and Al here. That's taking away enough of the seriousness of the topic to make it a really enjoyable story, without completely ignoring the other part, if that makes sense.

Thank you! I really wanted to get across the point that Rose and Al are discovering upsetting truths, but at the same time they aren't traumatized or made unhappy by the learning. I'm glad it seems to have worked!
