Jaeger turned 9 months old yesterday. He's amazing and wonderful! I found this checklist of things babies are "supposed" to be doing by month 12. I've bolded the ones he's doing: ( under the cut )
What a cutie pie! You can tell how sweet natured he is from his photos. Curious too. I love that list of yours. Can I steal it for monkey's birthday post tomorrow? J is doing so much. He's truly a treasure. Cherish him (know you already do). :)
As for you saying he is doing so much, that makes me feel good, because I feel like Monkey blows him right out of the water! That whole thing is going to be bolded when you post it, I bet!
I do treasure my sweet boy though. He's such a blessing. He makes my heart sing.
No way man. Monkey definitely has holes, plus he's slowing down. Not only that, but J is bolded in areas monkey lacks. Monkey will be bolded in areas J lacks. It's just how babies work. :D Don't ever doubt that J is on top of his game. Like the sit for 10 minutes at a time? Monkey CAN do it, but he WON'T do it. He can't really roll a ball. Sometimes he does because he's waving his hands, but it's certainly not purposely. He can't turn pages in a book. He also sleeps well even though that's not on the list. Just remember, every kid is differently. J certainly has some strong points monkey does not.
The one thing that grabs me about the list you posted is that it says babies "should" have one word other than mama/dada at 10 months, and 3 words other than mama/dada by 12 months. That strikes me as really early - I'm more used to seeing the suggestion that first words appear around 12 months. So don't panic if Jaeger isn't talking next month. ;-)
I was honestly shocked at how much he's doing overall. I didn't expect him to have stuff in the later months :) So, I'm happy with no talking until he's ready.
