I'll add that often police are reluctant to put out Amber Alerts on minority children.

I am so completely unsurprised to learn this.

I've tweeted it. I hope she's run away but always sad to hear of runaways; it's so rarely because they're sulky spoilt brats and so often because their situation is unbearable...

She's been found, alive and well. Sure enough, there should have been an Amber Alert issued and someone is facing prosecution.

I'm SO glad she's alive and OK! Do you have a link or anything?

I'm not surprised there should have been an Amber Alert. Not every black teen is a runaway :(
