What do you miss most about being a child, and about your childhood in

Living it makes me smile to this day!!! I'm glad I could give you a taste of what it was like... I'm always coming up with plots for NaNo (I never do it though) and an urban fantasy set in that NYC would be fantastic. Or, an urban fantasy where it turns out that that NYC was indeed that magical - it just happened to be accessible to a larger group than usual. Now you have to use doorways and the like to get there. Then I could go all Mary Sue and take myself back.... :)

I grew up in NYC in the same era, and may I just say, I REMEMBER THE GUY WITH THE CATS.

Also, the mica -- I thought the same thing.

YES!!! YES!!!

My childhood BF got her kitten from him. HE WAS SO COOL!!! Her Mom was the manager of the Central Park roller rink - the little one that was asphalt - not Wollman Rink (the big one) so they knew all the park people. Her Mom was big on the roller disco scene :)

I AM SO HAPPY THAT YOU REMEMBER HIM!!!
