This morning, midnightstation and I did our patriotic duty as Americans and voted in our primary. It was my first primary election! I haven't felt this excited about voting since I helped vote George H. Bush out of office when I was just a wee slip of a thing.

Today is the day y'all! Go out there and make your voice heard!

Heh. The Day out here isn't until May 5, fourth from last, by which time I doubt there will still be any actual *choices* left on the ballot.

No matter. I'll vote anyway. I always do, because not to vote cedes that precious authority to other people who may not have my interests in mind.

Boy howdy, I wish I could. We have our primaries in May, after Guam and the Virgin Islands. Cripes. At least its before West Virginia, just on principle. I've never lived in a state where my primary vote made a difference. I have a fantasy that the vote will be close enough when May rolls around that we'll actually matter.

Our super Tuesday is next week. interestingly, we don't register parties here in VA so I can vote on the other side and really mess things up.
