man, it was a BLAST this year!! felt a lil hotter than last year and a ton of people too. and top it all off, we were able to drink on the boardwalk and on the street area leading up to the train. for those that couldnt make it and those wish that they got better shots. taken with 30d & 24-70L

i think that little lawn should be extended further down stillwell ave, with a small service road on one side for garbage/emergencies/etc. it's kind of a waste of space to park a dozen cars. and asphalt isn't very pretty.

The guys in the second picture (super green penis guy and extra big red-haired tits girl) were in the Gay Pride Parade last year. I remember seeing them.

i marched with the little girl on stilts in the Dance Parade a few weeks ago. shes wonderful

i was supposed to be in it with Kostume Kult and Groovehoops, but had tickets to a once in a lifetime show in Boston.

im still really upset i missed it. Though there is next year

Wasn't Mermaid AMAYZING this year?? I did the boardwalk after the parade and it was so crowded -- turnout must have been a record. But the weather was so perfect, who can wonder?

it was actually pretty stupid how they barricaded it. People were panicking and climbing gates, if you got there near or after 2, it was nearly impossible to get to the side where everything is sold..things you need on a hot day, like i dunno, WATER. They blocked off the beach, but if you backtracked you could actually stand inside the barricades of the parade and have cops push you out of the way of oncoming floats.... uh, what idiot set THAT up?

yea this year they had the barricades on the street which i dont think was there last year. i got there a lil before 2 and got on the boardwalk just fine. the orange tape/fence thing was stupid but as time went on, it wasnt enforced at all. all the photogs got right on the route and was talking pictures. even the police and volunteers left.
