Tillie in Asbury is based on Coney Island Tillie, which was based on George Tilyou, who owned Steeplechase Park at Coney Island. Asbury Tillie was on the side of the Palace from the 40s until 2004, when the Palace was demolished, and now it's on top of the Wonder Bar (across the street from the boardwalk).

I dunno, I love Asbury and Coney Island but I always found Tillie kinda creepy LOL.

There is always one guy who posts about Con ey Island who has the Tillie guy zooming in over and over as his pic. I enjoy the Coney Island updates, but the icon and that clown face creep me out!
