DMV/ID/Whee!

I got all my shit stolen, including my ID (long story) and I need to go to Minnesota on Labor Day weekend lest I never get laid ever again ever.

SO

If you go to the DMV and get an ID card, do they give it to you right away? Do they mail it later? If so how long does it take?

My sex life thanks you.

2 weeks, from the day they see you at the DMV. (provided the mail doesn't screw it up and the planets align properly.)

If you show up and say "Here is my ticket, I have no ID" and have a valid reason such as: my wallet was stolen, I lost my wallet, I left my ID at the bar last night, I'm a moron, etc etc they will just put you in the separate security check line and get a little more aggressive in the search but you can still fly. so don't sweat it.

go online and order a new one, it took me about a week or so to get it by mail and cost appr. $35-45. passport or bank card with photo will be valid as ID in the airport, with bank card u'll have to go thru extra security check. on my way from FL (they go crazy about security there, JFK just a piece of cake compare to Orlando airport) one of the passengers didn't have any ID on him, he got to the plane, just spent about 10 more minutes on security check point while his luggage has been screened a bit more closely.
