History: As the result of his father's extramarital affair, Gojyo was an unwelcome addition to his family. When his father died very early in Gojyo's life, Gojyo was left with an abusive stepmother, and even the efforts of his older brother couldn't stop her. She tried to kill Gojyo when he was eight, forcing her older son to kill her in defense. Jien left; Gojyo has lived on his own since that day.
Initially foraging the city streets for food, eventually Gojyo became talented enough at card games and the seduction of women to keep himself afloat with a relatively comfortable lifetstyle. A few years back, Gojyo met a man named Cho Hakkai who became a close friend, but they haven't been in contact for quite some time.
Personality: Gojyo is vulgar; Gojyo is a womanizer; Gojyo chain-smokes and drinks beer and watches porn; however, Gojyo has a "heart of gold", as it were. Despite the facade that he puts on, Gojyo is actually a very loyal and caring person, and if he likes you, then he'll be loyal to a fault. Gojyo is a joker on the outside, but when he's alone he can be very pensive and depressed.
Powers/abilities/combat skills: Gojyo is a pretty strong martial artist, but other than that he's pretty much normal.
Extra: I'm sorry if the history wasn't what you were looking for! I read some of the other examples for history, and I tried to write mine accordingly. Also, Gojyo is a half-demon in canon; because, in the game canon, it says that crossbreeding is virtually unheard of, I wasn't sure whether or not to include this in my history. I would be willing to alter this accordingly, of course. ♥
