Thanks for translating these. I agree with Shige that it's so much more fun to learn than to study. I hate studying myself so can see why he'd not like it too.

I think we take education for granted nowadays and forget there are still huge parts of the world where nobody has an education...

this is something that i think a lot of us can relate to. it`s really amazing how kato sees life. this essay is especially important to me now because this whole year so far has been so stressful because i`ve been pushing myself so much to work hard at school that i`ve been beginning to hate school so much. but after reading this it really pushed up my confidence & makes me want to work harder !! education really is important but i want to learn things that i find interesting too.
