Watcher Journal Question

Aug 10, 2004 19:06

Do you all use a community or a single person Journal for your watcher journal?  And if you have a good reason for either can you let us know why?

Thanks!

Well, the three of us editors at daily_snitch have fairly extensive personal flists that cover most of the movers and shakers in HP, as well as those who tend to post links to interesting stuff we might not encounter directly. We send each other links as well, and at least I check my fflist frequently also. So we don't have a watcher journal, as such. But can a community have a flist? If people don't choose to join, can you read them as a flist? I don't think so.

We don't have either for four_lobsters. We get our links from a combination of our personal flists and from the flists of some of the larger communities.

In terms of communicating, we have a locked post each day on one of our personal jounals and collect links in the comments.

You know, I thought about doing this as well - the locked post thing (although putting it on the newsletter journal). We just use our submisson email, since it goes to all of us.

I don't have a watcher journal. I never even considered that. I use large flists mainly, and the herald's own friendlist, and my personal friendlist. That's about it.
