We've updated the Rich Text Editor on our Update Journal and entry editing pages.

Change it back until you've fixed the bugs.

I agree. I'm having so many problems with it.

Agreed.

There were so many complaints and reports of problems about it before this post, so I'm surprised they announced it here instead of listening to the users and fixing/putting it back the way it was. Or maybe I shouldn't be surprised?!

Thanks for the update, even though I DO NOT like the new Rich Text editor. Can we just go back to the way it was?

I also agree, I really don't think this is an improvement.
Sorry LJ people, I always admire how hard you work to make the site so great and I never complain, but the old rich text editor was more user-friendly before the update. Now a lot of icons look alike, and there are some things you can't do without switching to HTML mode (like removing a hyperlink), etc, etc. I don't see the point if it's more complicated than before…

Will we ever see an actual LJ 'like' option on posts/comments where people can register approval without posting to a bunch of other sites?

I've asked, but I never get a response. I would really enjoy that as a feature.

This is one of the few Facebook-like changes I think people would actually like.

It's great that you've updated the iPhone and iPad apps - is there any plan to update the app for Android? It is severely behind the others and could really use a boost. All I can with it is post an entry, anything else and I have to go to the site itself.

Sorry to hear that you don't even have a crappy version to work with. I downloaded it, all excited to be able to access my LJ, but was so upset to find I could only post. It works okay on my Droid 2, which is great, but I am very jealous of iPhone users who have such a lovely app. I have to use the browser to see anything decent. Quite annoying.

(If the app crashes, I have to blame my phone, TBH. I think the video processor is on the fritz, or something like it.)
