the new inbox upgrades are nice, but i'd like to be able to delete lots of subscriptions at a time. i have some posts/threads that i'm still subscribed to that are years old just because i don't have the patience to remove them one-by-one.

You can remove them by clicking on the garbage can in front of the subscription, and now it will delete that subscription without having to reload the page - so it will be faster than before.
