I am having a strange experience. I have just finished watching the first season of Friday Night Lights, and, predictably, cheered and shrieked and had to pause several times to shake off the OMGOMGOMG. I feel like I am that way with all of the media that I enjoy.

I've never (formally, I suppose, when I think about all of the informal writing done during panfandom roleplay at M-ways) written fan-fiction.

Personally, I would call it a similar process? (I mean, I know I write less fanfic when I do more RP, so. *g*)

Heh, I get that sense of confusion, why, if I love this thing so much, there's no desperate need to fic it.

Um. I thought FNL was like that for me -- and then I ficced it. Oops. But not at all like I do SPN. And I loved the X-Files desperately, totally and completely, and yet never needed to fic it.

There hasn't been much of a discernible pattern to the stuff I have to fic for and the stuff I don't. So I guess it's...a convergence of things, and I can really love a set of characters but have no desire to poke further, while something else will eat my brain with chocolate sauce.
