The Arnold Palmer: 3:1 iced tea and lemonade, plus shots of peach and raspberry. Dandy!

bookelfe, I have finished the first volume of The Chronicles of Chrestomanci. OHBEJEEBIE. It's -- it's like reading an Edward Gorey drawing. Amazing! I must acquire more. (Do you want me to mail you your copy back?)

Speaking of books, I really need this, in a deep and existentially fulfilling way.

silveraspen asked to see these pictures I took. In which case -- ( Read more... )

:D!!!!! Dude, I never made that connection before, but that's exactly what it's like, except with slightly less death. But the whimsy and humor are just the same and fill me with the same sense of glee.

Bargain: mail the book back, and I will mail you another? I HAVE BECOME BECCA, SUPPLIER OF DWJ CRACK.

And eeeeeee, gorgeous pictures!

It's very addictive reading. So snarky and delicious!

Thank you! I loves me Lake Michigan something fierce.

I understood an Arnold Palmer proper to be 1:1 of iced tea and lemonade, no extras. Your version sounds dandy, but perhaps deserves some modifiers in the name, eh?

I'm pretty sure it was supposed to be 1:1, but the girl at the Div School most definitely went heavy on the iced tea.

Are you policing my drink descriptors, J? :-D

I see the city farther down the lake from where you took these...where is this wonderful lake oasis you photographed so beautifully? :)

Mercy bucket! :) This is from the Belmont Harbor.

I'm used to seeing it from the Point off 55th, so it's still odd to see the skyline from the north.

Understandable, very understandable. I'm in love with Chicago and wish I could get out there more often, but alas! I have a life to life in the suburbs I s'pose (for now!)...
