The Christenson/Miller swinging '60s AU

Here are my thoughts on X-Men: First Class.

We have six weeks until Captain America makes a go at my heart and soul. Until then, Loki, I'm still all yours.

Seriously, though, FUCKING FASSBENDER. I don't think it's a spoiler to say I enjoyed pretty much every moment he was onscreen. Also, Magneto and Xavier, most married or MOST MARRIED OF ALL? ( A GREAT LINE )

The reviews that I've read and particularly the ones I trust (thanks, io9!) say that the thing about the movie is the Magneto/Xavier bromance/old married couple thing. I'm so easy, it's almost enough to make me wish to pay money to see this movie.

(Oh, Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots the movie? HOW CAN YOU NOT BE ENTHRALLED BY THAT PIECE OF CINEMA???)

I JUST SAW IT ALSO. THERE WERE AWESOME BITS. THOSE ARE THE BITS I AM PAYING ATTENTION TO.

I MEAN, OK, WE GOT OUR UR-OTP *HOLDING ONE ANOTHER IN THEIR ARMS ON A BEACH AND CRYING*. I APPROVE.

I TRULY NEVER SAW MAGNETO CAUSING CHARLES'S DISABILITY COMING. WHICH IS DUMB OF ME BUT YAY.

Also, another BoB dude. Our boys will rule the world.

Is that literally what it was? I mean, I thought it was, but... aaaaagh, the movie industry, WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO US.

HOW AWESOME WAS THE WOLVERINE BIT. HOW AWESOME. YES. OMG. And baby Storm in baby Cerebro!

NICHOLAS HOULT = BEST BEAST FOREVER, omfg, I felt so bad, and every time his unrolled his toes I cringed sympathetically.

Also, nicely done, displaying Mag's penchant for turtlenecks. But Fassbender, lovely, lovely Irish man, what accent were you GOING FOR THERE.

I'M SO MAD, I was spoiled for BOTH THOSE THINGS, AUGH, this is what I get for reading non-fandom-person reviews! (I was still surprised by [other cameo], though. THAT WAS WAY AWESOME.)

NICHOLAS HOULT, HOW DID YOU GET SO BIG AND GREAT?

Ahahaha, I don't even. I don't EVEN. I thought he was getting more Irish, my friend who speaks German thought it was more German, and apparently we were all just a little bit confused. But it's okay! MASTER OF MAGNETISM. ANGRIEST JEW. <33333333

X2 is my favourite as well, and I despised the third film so much I swore off any future ones, but I am an absolute sucker for James McAvoy and will pretty much follow him anywhere. I'm gathering that I at least won't regret following him into this too much?

(Have I mentioned how much I'm enjoying the Thor/Loki/Hiddleston squee? *giggle*)

(Bwahahaha, I'm always glad to hear a vote in its favor!)

And yeah, I mean, he's pretty good! Fassbender was more my character type, but they have a great rapport, to say the least. :)
