I am seriously considering leading a revolt against the decor in our office. Every single person I've talked to over the past few weeks has talked about how much they hate our dark, depressing, impersonal, aggressively neutral interiors. I find myself wanting to make construction paper cutouts of flowers, or just unroll a huge piece of paper, tape

I'm starting to get visions of calm but vibrant color patterns in the hallways - blues and greens, the bright and cheerful shades, anchored with the more cheerful shades of brown. With framed art in all the offices. Big prints of stuff from all over the world, not just Europe from four and five centuries ago, small originals from local artists if you can get them.

And fish tanks, because those rule.
