So much oh dang.

I am officially ready for spring, which is really unfortunate, because we have about three thousand years of winter left in Chicago, but until then, I can lust and pine for the ever-growing spring Fluevog collection. So. Much. Color. Guys, I am so ready for oxblood and peach. (Especially because that sounds so wrong!)

HOMG. )

hole in my pocket, we are so screwed, shoes are my anti-drug

True! And debilitating.

Very true.

Snow is still so alien to me - I know how dangerous it is, but it's new enough there's a lot of wonder left in it too.

Some days there are still moments where I can look at a fresh snowbank blocking my path and think, "Hmm, it looks like vanilla frosting and I want to jump in it."

SHOOOOOOZ.

And also:

Holy mother of everything, that is some insane apocalyptic snow right there.

It's like, the Storm went, FWUMP, and said, "Ha ha, you ain't going nowhere."

Did you ever read Bone? There's one scene where a foot of snow came down at once - not snowflakes falling over the course of an hour, a solid foot of snow dropping at once.

ETA: Found a picture.

Hahaha! I've seen this character/comic around before, but I didn't know about this particular one. That's exactly what I was picturing in my head!

As a kid I had a recurring nightmare of something like that happening. In my dream though everything would get crushed by the snow...

Shoes I can take or leave (I've always been a hat man), but my god, those pictures. There's your post-apocalyptic Americana right there. Just add in a few man-eating yetis...

I just took a bunch out in the neighborhood! We're actually all very cheery about this present apocalypse. If you're outside and you don't have a shovel, you've got a camera!

Those snow pictures are terrifying. Especially the one of the bus, for some reason: it's like some alien menace hit.

Oh yeah -- the blue light and the wind certainly don't help.

Not at all--it's like the people have just vanished.
