That's not very productive? I dread to think of what a torrent of creativity you must be when you are... okay, so it's mostly comment fic, but there's still a lot there given that you spent half the year busting a nut over A History of Summer ( ... )

What the actual heck, Skew. You made the world's most amazing art for it. I think that counts for something! (Also, I may have lurked on the art post. I was terrifically pleased to see people falling all over your work! So vicarious thrills count too, possibly.) You are, I think, exempt from this. Still, thank you, truly. And I am glad you're enjoying a slower read. God, I hope Betty Guarnere never leaves. She has a real life of her own.

It is aggravating, though, isn't it? There's this stigma about wanting recognition for hard work in fandom, and I get why it's there, but it's just so frustrating to feel like you've sunk with hardly a ripple. Okay, /venting.

I have not yet gotten to look at the Yuletide archive at all, but I can't wait to read yours! Also, I am glad you did this post too, since there are a few you've listed that I completely missed and am eager to sit down with.

Ha, well, I just wanted to make sure! (Just got up past Chapter 4 today. Predictably, I have a lot of love for that chapter in particular. Just... Harry and her flask and the worrying about going home and chatting with Nix was perfect, and the way you described their lucky break in the game made my heart swell like I was the Grinch discovering the joy of Christmas. It was lovely.)

My Yuletide fic probably won't really be your thing, seeing as it's fairly explicit slash, though I suppose you could skip the pining and just read the banter. I'm looking forward to reveals; it's fun finding out which ones your friends were responsible for.

And hey, it's your journal, vent away.
