Rise - check; grind - working on it

Today did not start off so awesome, but even though I got to work nearly half an hour late, my boss and I still talked about The Social Network for ten straight minutes. Hearing her say "asshole" so often in such a short period of time was really, really hilarious and cheering.

For my own peace of mind, a linkspam!

Grouchy Romans, college ruled bedding, learning Swedish with ASkars, Real Ultimate Potato, Liebgott and Tipper together again, and the Brooklyn Bridge in 1899 )

le città invisibili, fooding, link-mongering, shoes are my anti-drug, my childhood is not retro dammit, we few we happy few, writing, sookehhh (true blood)

IN 1899, THE STREETS OF NEW YORK CITY ECHOED WITH THE VOICES OF NEWSIES--

sorry, I couldn't resist. >.> I actually have an icon of the Brooklyn Bridge scene in Newsies but I keep forgetting to pay my account so I can use it :(

Ooh, even more veggie Thanksgiving recipes! The NY Times' "Well" section had one: can we start calling it a trend? (And the fact that Curbly's recipe for stuffed acorn squash is very similar to *my* veggie Thanksgiving standard is weird, but v. good!)

Wibble at the Liebgott/actual!Tipper pic. Good to hear that the 'brothers' still meet up often, though.

Speaking of things that pack a different sort of punch, the scientists at the LHC have been able to capture antimatter.

Oh wow! It's not surprising, really, when you think about how physicists conceive of experiments and phenomena, that so many of them are poets too.

The Tipper/Lieb pic is adorable. I'm so glad the actors are still in touch with the real!Easy Company men. It warms my little BoB loving heart.

HEEEE, yes, it is both wonderful and kind of a trauma machine. BOYS, YOUR FACES, WHAT.
